The bumpy dark bits round wifey’s nipples are getting bigger. I wonder what to call those bits ? nipple plates ? areoli ? I consult one of wifey’s many baby books and discover they are officially called the Montgomery tubercles or Glands of Montgomery. They are apparently named after Dr William Featherstone Montgomery, a 19th century Irish obstertrician who first described them.
Blimey. What a coup. What a way to achieve immortality. Every woman who walks the planet carries a little bit of Dr Montgomery.
Some men have spent their lives trecking to far flung corners of the earth, risking life and limb to discover something new, to get the chance to put their name to something, to ensure their memory will live on. Dr Montgomery just lifted up a woman’s top and described what he saw.
