The time is now

Today is due date. 40 weeks.

Any day, or hour now, life is going to change forever.

I’ve heard the horror stories. My poker buddies with their kids have filled me full of tales of sleepless nights, no sex, projectile diarrhea, and endless screaming.

Now its coming my way.

For five blissful years of marriage wifey has been the most important person in my life. And I have been in hers. I have had her 100% undivided love. Her body, and in particular her breasts, have been for me only. My sole property. To enjoy at leisure.

Our time has been our own.

We have been able to do what we like when we like.

Go on a bender and stay out all night. No problem. Lie in bed all day. Why not?

But despite this, something has been missing. That’s why we have spent over £10,000 and endless hospital visits, injections, tears and disappointments in an attempt to complete us.

And now, finally, we have reached the next stage on our journey together.

We know what is about to come is going to test our patience and resilience. Push us to the limits.

But we are ready.

Bring on the dirty nappies. Bring on the sleep deprivation.

I am going to be a daddy. And I can’t wait.

  1. Like the new longer posts. The twitter length posts are just…well… too short. I don’t think you’ll be able to do it but if you can continue to post a bit during the first six months or so you’ll appreciate it later because it will be such a blur than in 5 years you won’t even remember any of it. Good luck.
